Happy Village
Happy Village is a mega project which is bundle of many small projects aiming toward single goal, uplifting overall life quality of community within given Village.
In and around Panvel, there are many villages, Adivasi Pada’s (Tribal habitats) where few hundred families live in quite a deprived way, disconnected with rest of the world of opportunities. They have low access to all the facilities which is required to sustain in day to life. They are considered mostly deprived area in which project can be done for uplifting of Village.
Rotary club can become catalyst in such areas to assess the need of such community in all 7 focus areas of Rotary viz
a) Peace & Conflict Prevention / Resolution
b) Disease Prevention & Treatment
c) Water & Sanitation
d) Maternal & Child health
e) Basic education & Literacy
f) Economic & Community Development
g) Supporting the Environment
As per the community assessment, different projects can be prepared and executed within each focus area, which would be sustainable for considerable time span, so as to transform a village into Happy Village by uplifting quality of life of each individual living there.
Project Happy Village is not about donating something to less privileged, but is all about creating self sustainable solutions & answers to all their challenges & questions, it’s about empowering a village to be self sufficient in all 7 focus areas.
Afterall, self dependent l, self sustainable Village is functional unit of India. This project helps us to move one step closer to our mission of spreading smiles & Vision of Nation building.
